Scores appear on the records they describe: an application, a claim, an order, a document, an email. Each score has a name (its template), an overall value, and a list of items, the individual data points that make it up. A score is a snapshot: recalculating it updates the values.
Read a score
Section titled “Read a score”| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Value | The headline result: a number, amount, yes/no, date, or text, depending on the template. |
| Items | Each data point the score calculated or extracted, such as Invoice Total, Due Date, or Account Holder. |
| Confidence | How sure the engine is about each item, and (as a weighted average of the items) about the whole score. |
| Document | For spreadsheet-based scores, the completed workbook is saved with the score so you can see exactly how the result was reached. |
Confidence and item status
Section titled “Confidence and item status”Items extracted from documents or messages carry a status that explains their confidence:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Match | Exactly one value was found. |
| No Match / No Matches | Nothing matched. For a yes/no item this means No; for other items the value is empty. |
| Multiple Matches | More than one candidate was found, so confidence is reduced. Check the source. |
| Parsing error | Text was found but couldn’t be read as the expected type (for example, a date). |
| Range not found / Error | A spreadsheet model didn’t produce the item. Report it to a power user. |
Score a batch from a spreadsheet
Section titled “Score a batch from a spreadsheet”To calculate a score for many records at once:
- Open the Scores home page and choose a score template.
- Drag a spreadsheet onto the banner at the top of the page.
- QBO calculates a score for each row. Open a result from the search results to see its items.
The upload is tracked like any other import, so you can see how many rows succeeded or failed. See Imports.
Complete an audit
Section titled “Complete an audit”Audits are scores entered by people. A team lead might audit a share of the tasks each person completes, to check quality or compliance.
When you open an item from an audit worklist, QBO takes you to the same page the original worker used, with the audit questions alongside. Each item on the audit score template is a question. Answer each one and save; your answers become the audit score for that work.
Audit results roll up by template, so managers can see trends by team, task, or person. For how audit samples are chosen, see Worklists.
For how templates and engines are configured, switch to the Power user view.
