Default Reporting Application (DRA) · Fannie Mae
DRA is how foreclosure and bankruptcy attorneys report case events on Fannie Mae loans. Firms send the events files they already produce, by web upload, sFTP, or API, or enter events one at a time. Quandis built DRA on QBO, using the model proven by ADR for Freddie Mac.
Keep your file format, change the destination
DRA reads Fannie Mae’s legacy default reporting events files, so firms keep the exports their case management systems already produce. Loan and servicer details come from Fannie Mae’s own data feeds; attorneys report only what happened on the case.
Who reports
Report foreclosure, bankruptcy, and delay events on Fannie Mae loans: upload the events files your firm already produces, or enter individual events in the web interface. Every submission shows its results, row by row.
Send the same events automatically, by sFTP or API, under an automation account bound to the firm. Status flows from the case management system without re-keying.
How attorneys report
Export an events file and drop it on the DRA landing page.
Place the same files in your firm’s own sFTP folder.
Post events from your case management system as they happen.
Enter one event at a time, for corrections and one-offs.
Case management integrations
Case management systems including a360 (CaseAware), Casemax, and NetDirector exchange case data with QBO.See the industry systems QBO connects to.
What attorneys report
Each event carries a Fannie Mae event code and the date it happened. DRA groups events into the foreclosure or bankruptcy they belong to and works out each case’s status from the event dates, so the order rows arrive in doesn’t change the answer.
sFTP · file pickup · naming rules
Getting access
Fannie Mae provisions user administrators at your firm through Technology Manager, the same process firms use for P360. They add and manage your firm’s DRA users.
For sFTP or API, request a dedicated automation account, bound to your firm. For sFTP, include the IP ranges you connect from and a 2048-bit SSH public key.
Prove your files and connections in UAT, then report in production. Each environment has its own sFTP account on the same host.

FAQ
The Default Reporting Application (DRA) is how foreclosure and bankruptcy attorneys report case events on Fannie Mae loans. Quandis built DRA on the QBO platform, and it has been in service since 2021.
Usually not. DRA reads Fannie Mae’s legacy default reporting events files, as an Excel workbook (.xlsx) or a delimited text file (.csv or .txt), as long as the file name contains “Events”. The legacy header and footer rows are optional.
Fannie Mae grants access. If your firm already has user administrators in Fannie Mae’s Technology Manager, they can add DRA users. If not, email Fannie Mae’s DRA team at dra_support@fanniemae.com with your firm name, two points of contact, and how you plan to submit.
Yes. Firms automate by sFTP or API under an automation account bound to the firm. Case management systems such as a360 (CaseAware), Casemax, and NetDirector already exchange case data with QBO; ask your vendor whether it reports to DRA.
Every file, whether uploaded, delivered by sFTP, or sent by API, is listed on the DRA landing page with the number of events it reported. Open it to see the original file and any rows that failed. API submissions also return an import ID you can use to read the log.
From Fannie Mae’s own data feeds. DRA keeps any servicer fields an attorney sends on the event, but shows Fannie Mae’s values on the loan summary.
DRA is the Fannie Mae counterpart of ADR (Attorney Data Reporting), which attorneys have used to report on Freddie Mac loans since 2006. Both run on QBO, but each follows its own agency’s data format and account process.
