Introducing QDocs: Quandis Intelligent Document Processing

· Quandis · 2 min read

Mortgage and financial services teams are drowning in documents but starving for usable data.

The documents arrive constantly: loan files, servicing correspondence, title and collateral documents, investor packages. The information inside them drives nearly every decision an operation makes. Yet much of that information still reaches the people who need it only after someone has opened the file, found the right page, and typed what they saw into another system.

Today we’re introducing the new and improved Quandis Intelligent Document Processing, known as QDocs: a secure, AI-powered solution that automates document classification and data extraction, then orchestrates the results across your downstream workflows.

How QDocs is different

Classification of complex, high-variance documents

Financial services documents don’t arrive in tidy, standard formats. The same document type can look different from one lender, county, or investor to the next. QDocs classifies each document against the document types you define, using plain-English descriptions rather than rigid layout templates, so variation in format doesn’t require rebuilding anything. Mixed packages are split into their individual documents first.

Extraction tailored to your business

Different portfolios need different data. Business-purpose, residential, and investor-specific loans each carry their own terms, documents, and requirements. In QDocs, you decide which fields to extract for each document type and describe each one in plain English. Every value comes back typed (a date, an amount, a yes/no, or text) with its own confidence, so you can see how sure the model is before you rely on it.

Secure AI designed for regulated environments

QDocs is built for regulated financial services. AI methods run as the calling user, on records that user is allowed to reach. Documents stay in the storage you configure, and content is sent only to the AI provider you choose. Results come back as ordinary data inside your audit trail, and token costs can be posted to a ledger so AI spend is visible like any other cost. Security documentation is available in the Quandis Trust Center.

Built-in orchestration

This is the difference that matters most. QDocs runs on the QBO Platform, so extracted data doesn’t end in a report. It lands on the record where your rules, workflows, and worklists already are, and it drives action: confident results flow straight into the next step, and uncertain ones go to a person for review.

Automation with a purpose

This isn’t AI for AI’s sake. It’s intelligent automation embedded in real operational workflows. QDocs aims to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, accelerate decisions, and help operations scale without adding headcount.

The path it supports is a simple one: from documents, to data, to decisions.
